There will be a one-day conference on ‘The Legacy of people of Nigerian Descent in Britain’ involving interactive activities – talks, slide shows, audio-visual presentation, musical accompaniments/interludes and Q&A sessions. The conference is scheduled to take place in October, and it will explore three main topics:
‘Nigerian Arts in Britain’, to be delivered by Hassan Aliyu FRSA, President of the Nigeria Arts Society UK.
‘The Contributions of British-Nigerians to the British Society’, by eminent Historian, Professor Hakim Adi, Professor of the History of Africa and the African Diaspora, University of Chichester.
‘The Legacy of Musicians of Nigerian Descent in the UK’s Music Eco-system’, by a singer, composer and pianist, Juwon Ogungbe FRSA.
